Sinathir 0.15 - Chickens and picky traders
This version focuses on introducing animal husbandry and making traders accept only certain items.
Animal husbandry is a important step in making farming skill more useful. You can now build small barn to house up to four chickens. After that, you will get a short event with Billy the next time you talk to him. He will then start selling chickens to you.
You can own as many chickens as you want, but only four can be active at one time. Active animals will produce resourcess every week if you feed them. Most animals will eat normal plant fiber, which you can now also farm.
There are multiple ways to get rid of your animals. You can sell them, since they act like normal inventory items. You can butcher them for meat and feathers on the butcher table on Billy's farm. Or you can just stop feeding them. If you forget to feed your animals for a week, one of them will die and this continues every week you don't feed them until you have none left.
I wanted to add goats too, but I decided to work on them a little more and they will be added in next month.
Next thing I worked on was placing all items into categories and making traders buy items only from some of them.
Not everyone will want to buy tons of raw meat and leather. You will have to find the correct person to sell your items. As always, this system is still WIP, but most of the items make sence. Blacksmith will buy melee weapons, armor and raw metals, hunter will buy meat, leather and ranged weapons, alchemist will buy ingredients and healing items. I will be refining this system in the future, but it is again a very important step in improving the economy of the game world.
That's basicaly it for this month. Next month I will be adding new quest, goats and I also might make more improvements to the economy system.
