Sinathir 0.16 - New quest, goats and even pickier traders
Main focus of this version was adding missing goats from previous patch and adding a new quest. I also added decreasing item prices depending on traders stock
First the goats. After building the small barn building, Billy will start selling chickens and goats. They work just like chickens. Feed them every week and you can get some milk from them. Forget feeding them and they will die one by one. You can also butcher them or sell them back if you want to.
Next are the item prices. Traders will now pay less for your items if they have a large number of them already. Basic sale price is 50% of the buying price and depending on their stock, this can decrease down to 25%. Buying prices stay the same. This should make some exploitative tactics less effective and make selling items more involved process. I tested this system a lot, but I'm sure something will go wrong (as it always does) If you find a bug, please report it here or write me an e-mail.
And lastly the new quest. Originaly, I wanted to make a bigger one with new dungeon and a propper ending to the first part of the main quest line. This however proved way too time consuming so I made a simple introductory quest instead and I will continue on the big one in later updates.
To get this quest, simply talk to Suong and select "quest". There are no prerequisites and it is a quite simple fetch quest with a minor twist and a few condition checks that will make it go slightly differently. It is mainly there to make players explore most of the world at the start of the game and learn to navigate it.
And that's it for this month. Next month, I will be expanding science and alchemy. Mainly adding new potions and potion recipes and also expanding the science into electronics. I might also finish the economy overhaul by allowing me to change item prices globaly depending on events (example: iron mine gets flooded so price of all iron materials increases accross the board).
