Sinathir 0.31 - New story expansion and dungeon
This was one hell of a ride. This took longer than I wanted, but it is finaly here. New dungeon together with story expansion and other things.
Right from the start, this patch is NOT compatible with previous saves. Unlocks will still carry over though.
Story expansion
Main quest got expanded. You can now actualy deliver the letter that was sitting in your inventory this whole time.
After getting all the events with the generals (The one that takes place on the crossroad is the last) and waiting few weeks, you will get another message and new cutscene will trigger. After that, you get a simple quest to raise your stats to a certain level and get some basic equipment. Once that's done, you will be able to go through the new dungeon with both generals and meet Mr. White.
The dungeon use 100% original graphics. Everything was made by me.
Something to bear in mind. This dungeon is intended to be a setpiece. It is fairly short and very easy, but there is still enough to explore and treasure to find.
There are several checks that change dialogue a bit so there is even some replayability here.
The dungeon ends with a boss encounter and then you finaly meet Mr. White.
Other changes
Now that there is a propper way to meet Mr. White, several encounters got changed. He won't show up after you kill 50 humanoids and Suong's dialogue got changed. The basement dungeon is now locked and opens only after you meet Mr. White. He also stays in his new location, so you won't find him in the basement anymore.
I also had to do quite a few changes under the hood. I mainly touched the cutscenes skipping and some combat elements. I tested everything as best I could, but I'm 100% sure I missed something.

At the end of the dungeon, you will be forced to choose which NPC you want to join. Consequencess for this are still not in the game, but there are some benefits.Joining one of the generals will allow you to call them by phone and let them join your party. They are very strong and have no other requirements for joining you. Going with Suong will allow you to recruit her in her powered up state. Going with White doesn't do anything right now. He will still train you and take the ichor and power sources from you. He will also sell items to you like he did before. Of course, this will change in the future. Some dialogue will change a little, for example the event for 50 human kills will be a little different if you join White.
If you don't want to play through the entire game again to see the dungeon, you can go to this exact spot and enter the code in the picture.
This will teleport you to the first cutscene that takes place before entering the dungeon. Your stats will also get increased to meet the quest goal and you will get some armor, weapons and healing items.
Bear in mind that this is a cheat. It will get removed from new versions and is there only for testing purposes. There is also a possibility that using this code will break the game in some way. Don't overwrite your old saves after you enter it and once you are done with the dungeon, stop playing that save file. It's possible that nothing is going to happen (I played for a while after finishing the dungeon with this code and nothing bad happened) but I want to warn you just in case.
And now for the rest.
Everything else
This was quite an udertaking. Doing the graphics took a lot of time and doing all the dialogue, checks and branching took even more. What took probably the most time was fixing all the issues that poped up. Cutscene skipping not working properly, party management during battle, certain skills like paralyze not working properly and more.
I'm sure there are some bugs that still remain. If you find them, please report them here or on the forum.
I'm going to take a little break. I will fix any issues that get reported but I won't be actively working on the game for a week or two.
Next large update should finaly be the war system and the expanded faction system.

Good to hear that the letter can finally be delivered! That thing was quite pesky. Anyhow, I'm busier than expected so can't really be playing the new updates right now. I just wanted to know a few things since I like Suong.
What does Suong's powered up state mean?
Could you one day add a scene for Suong headpatting you? (You definitely should.) I'd love a mother daughter relationship between those two.

The powered up state. In previous versions, Mr. White would invite you to meet him if you kill 50 humanoids. If you go to the meeting place with Suong in your party, she will have an argument with him revealing that she is not just an ordinary hunter. If you go talk to her afterward, she will say some unique lines and from that point on, she will be using different equipment and be much stronger if you recruit her. That's the powered up state. New version has the dialogue (Altered from previous versions) and she will still be stronger after you meet Mr. White and choose her.
