Sinathir 0.35 - Quality of life
First, I like to thank everyone who suggested these features or reported bugs. These things would not happen so soon without your feedback.
This update adds a lot of big and small quality of life features and on top of that, IS compatible with previous versions. Some of these features might not work properly the first week after updating, bug everything shoul work fine afterwards.
Here are all the major changes.
Hit chance in combat
Small, but important addition. Combat will now show your chance to hit with normal atttacks for both you and your party members.
In future versions, I will play a little more with this. Percentage will be less accurate in the early game and show something like "0-50%" at the start of the game. As you get better and as you fight more enemies, it will become more and more accurate.
Text display styles
I added new item into the options menu. It toggles between different text writing styles.
You can switch between the default option, where dialogue text shows one letter at a time and pressing the action button displays the rest, and all at once style, where all text displays instantly. This is useful for subsequent playthroughs, where you want to skip through dialogue you saw before quickly. There might be some issues with this style, so please report them if you find any.
Game time
Save files will now show how many weeks you survived
This will make it easier to identify the proper save file at first glance.
Visited locations
World map will show the locations you visited that week.
This is good for players who like to make sure they did everything that week. All those markers reset every week.
Marking NPCs you talked to
NPC status window will now show if you talked to an NPC that week.
Again, good for players that want to do everything every week.
Other changes
And there are quite a few bug fixes and improvements.
NPCs will now heal only at the start of each week, so you can't just dissmiss them and re-hire them to make them heal. Suong had a broken healing item, Kobold cave chests were raising your mood, Machinery event was duplicated, Morality will now go above and below -+100, work window will show the amount of money you will get together with all trait bonuses.
There is a lot more to do, but I want to release all these first and see if there is something broken.
Next update will be split into two parts. First one will most likely focus on small rework of the end game dungeon. Final chests will be locked and you will have to explore the dungeon to find keys for them. You will also be able to enter that dungeon only few times every month, just like the mine dungeon.
An update after that will have the faction overhaul.
